For the last several hours the crew has been filming the outside of the house just for kicks it appears as there’s no cast outside. Here’s a lovely pic of a cop that is standing in the street making sure traffic doesn’t hit the crew that is in the middle of the street. Assuming the production company didn’t pay for the cop, this is a great use of tax dollars – esp. in a recession.

Can you tell me who did your layout? I’ve been looking for one kind of like yours. Thank you.
it is standard operating procedure for production companies to pay off-duty LEOs for assistance with crowd control, traffic issues and security. do you people have nothing better to do? this site makes District citizens look PATHETIC to the outside world.
nice try. the production company pays for all of this – permits, overtime cop, the whole thing. next?!
But don’t you know? We should be so thankful that MTV is filming here and putting our city on the map!! And who cares about our tax dollars? We should pay more taxes so that MTV films Supreme Court cases, a day at Malia and Sasha’s school, and dinnertime at the Naval Observatory with Vice-President Biden!!
Wow…I have heard some dumb things come out of this blog, but this is one of the worst. “Assuming the production company didn’t pay for the cop…” Seriously? Television and film productions always pay for the police presence.
You don’t do any research whatsoever for these posts do you?
OMG IM SOOOOOOO ANGRY ……im gonna run home and post on my blog!!!!!!!
so it’s probably safe to say that http://www.antirealworld.com is pretty much dead in the water at this point.
Actually they did it ALL day yesterday (8/12) and for a few hours this morning as well.
nice try!
not tax dollars. overtime po-po paid for by production. thats the standard. you guys are really reaching for straws these days, huh? upset the world didnt end i suppose.
because of cry-babies (like you) and tools that just want to ‘try and make a tv apperance’ a Cop NEEDS to patrol the area around the house. So, despite your attempt at throwing DCPD under the bus, i will COMMEND DCPD for providing safety to the DC residents that walk around that area and are not looking to start fights.
get over it.
Generally, production companies will hire off-duty police officers as security and to direct traffic and such; at least, that’s how they do it in LA and NYC.
Lighten up dude, not everything RWDC does is a giant waste of your tax dollars.
wow – they are gone and the world didn’t end! all your bitching and moaning was for nothing! cant wait to see what your next issue is~!
